
Ukraine war latest: Biden to hold talks in Warsaw over invasion crisis

China’s ambassador to Washington on Sunday mentioned Beijing “will do everything” to de-escalate the war in Ukraine, but stated a condemnation of Russia’s assault “doesn’t solve the problem”.
Qin Gang reported US president Joe Biden and Chinese chief Xi Jinping experienced held a “candid deep and constructive” discussion past week.
Biden warned Xi of “implications and consequences” should really China help Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, in accordance to the White Home.
The ambassador, talking on the CBS programme Facial area the Country, stated Xi had also talked to Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the 2nd day of the invasion and recommended that Moscow hold peace talks with Ukraine.

Qin acknowledged that China was conducting “normal trade, financial, money, vitality cooperation” with Russia.
“Condemnation, it does not fix the dilemma,” he extra. “I would be surprised if Russia will back down by condemnation.”
Requested why Beijing would not “cut off Vladimir Putin”, Qin replied that China has “already produced it quite obvious that national sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations, including Ukraine, should be respected and protected”.
